Services & providers

Services define what can be booked; providers deliver them on a weekly schedule. Together with locations and resources they drive exactly which times MediBook offers.

Services

Under MediBook → Services, each service has:

  • Duration and an optional slot interval (how often start times are offered).
  • Price (set 0 for free) and an optional capacity for group sessions.
  • Buffers before/after, minimum notice, and a cancellation cut-off.
  • Telehealth toggle, a colour, and an optional square image.

Providers

Under MediBook → Providers, each provider has a profile (photo, title, specialty, bio, languages, gender) plus:

  • Services offered — leave all unchecked to offer every service.
  • Weekly availability — one row per working block; multiple rows on the same day create split shifts (e.g. a lunch break). Times are in the clinic timezone.
  • Calendar sync — connect the provider’s Google or Outlook calendar (see Integrations).
  • Custom fields — add your own provider fields under Provider Fields; mark them “show to patients” to display on the booking page.

Locations

Under MediBook → Locations, add each clinic site with its own timezone. Availability rows can be scoped to a specific location, and patients can pick a location when booking.

Rooms & equipment

Under MediBook → Rooms & Equipment, add bookable resources and choose which services require them. MediBook won’t offer a time unless a unit of every required resource is free — useful for treatment rooms, chairs, or shared machines. Set a quantity for identical units.

Time off & holidays

Under MediBook → Time Off, add full-day closures (clinic-, provider-, or location-scoped) and one-off blocked times. Adding one automatically notifies patients whose appointments are affected.

Availability is the intersection of all of the above: a slot is only shown when the provider works, the location and service allow it, required resources are free, and no holiday, block, or existing booking overlaps.
