Managing appointments
Everything your front desk does day to day lives under MediBook in the WordPress admin: a dashboard for the overview, a list for detail, and a calendar for the week ahead.
Dashboard
The dashboard opens on today at a glance: appointments today, this week, and this month, expected revenue, completions, and cancellations, plus a seven day trend and today’s schedule. It is the fastest way to see how the clinic is tracking.
The appointment list
The Appointments screen lists every booking with the patient, provider, service, time, status, and payment. Filter by status or provider, then act on a row inline. Depending on the current status you can confirm, reject, check in, mark in consultation, complete, mark a no-show, or cancel.
Appointment statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Awaiting staff approval (or payment), if either is required. |
| Confirmed | Booked and holding the slot. |
| Checked in | The patient has arrived at the clinic. |
| In consultation | The appointment is under way. |
| Completed | Finished and closed out. |
| No-show | The patient did not attend. |
| Cancelled | Cancelled by the patient or staff; the slot is freed. |
| Rejected | A pending request the clinic declined. |
| Rescheduled | Moved to a new time. |
Calendar
The Calendar shows the week in the clinic timezone, colour coded by status and filterable by provider. Drag an appointment to reschedule it, or block time off so those hours stop being offered to patients.
Manual bookings
For phone bookings, create an appointment directly from the admin. MediBook applies the same availability, buffer, and double-booking rules as the public form, so staff cannot accidentally overbook a provider or a room.
